RTP General Information;
RTP (Research Triangle Park, North Carolina), is in the middle of North Carolina, near Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill (the Triangle area). The closest airport, Raleigh/Durham International (RDU), is less than 5 minutes by car from Apex Technologies. RTP is a very large and diverse research, development, and manufacturing site that is ideally situated near the capital of North Carolina- Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. The RTP area also includes 3 superb Universities: Duke , NCSU , and UNC-CH as well as numerous smaller colleges. North Carolina is a great place to visit- we have great coastal resorts and lighthouses, wineries, Wright Memorial at Kitty Hawk , great golfing, world-class basketball, and many vacation spots that are fun to visit.
Directions from RDU airport to Apex Technologies
First, we recommend that you rent a car when visiting Apex- the taxi service in the area is sometimes unreliable and can be difficult to predict. If you call, we will try to provide pickup and delivery service to-from RDU airport.
After getting the rental car, follow the signs (click here for map) that direct you to Airport Blvd (South towards I-40 and Morrisville).After crossing the overpass for I-40 (do not get onto I-40), continue South on Airport Blvd approx 2.5 mi total distance, Airport Drive deadends onto Hwy 54 (Chapel Hill rd). Turn right onto 54 (at the Exxon station) and proceed about 1/2 mi, you will see the Morrisville Post Office on the right side of 54. Immediately after the post office, turn right into Copeland Oak Center, proceed approx 100 yards, The large buildings on both sides are part of Copeland Oak Center where Apex is located. On the right side you will see our building with the address "1212".
Directions from Interstate 40 (Airport Blvd Exit)
Take Exit 284 from I-40 and turn south on Airport Blvd toward Morrisville. continue South on Airport Blvd approx 2.5 mi total distance, Airport Blvd will dead-end onto Hwy 54 (Chapel Hill Rd). Turn right onto 54 (at the Exxon station) and proceed about 1/2 mi, you will see the Morrisville Post Office on the right side of 54.
